Re: ccc camp service
J. Andrew Jun 15, 2019 1:12 AM (in response to Penny Burt)Civilian Conservation Corps personnel records are in the custody of the National Archives at St. Louis. For information about requesting these records see Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) Enrollee Records, Archival Holdings and Access.
For information about records relating to the organization and operations of the CCC, as well as area camp reports, see the Guide to Federal Records page for the Civilian Conservation Corps, and search the National Archives Catalog. Many of these records are in the custody of the National Archives at College Park - Textual Reference (RDT2) at which can be contacted through archives2reference@nara.gov. To inquire about photographs contact the National Archives at College Park - Still Pictures (RDSS) via email at stillpix@nara.gov. To inquire about motion pictures contact the National Archives at College Park - Motion Pictures (RDSM) via email at mopix@nara.gov. Some records are instead located at the nearest regional branch of the National Archives.A similar question was asked here at the History Hub in 2016 and received some useful responses. See the conversation here: Where can I find records about my grandfather's work for the Civilian Conservation Corps?
