    119th AAA in WW2

    James Weaver Newbie

I am looking for any information about the 119th AAA Field Artillery Group in World War 2. My grandfather fought with this group and I have very little information on his service record. I am also looking for a combat journal from this group from WW2 as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

          Dear Mr. Weaver,

Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!

We searched the World War II Operations Reports, 1940-1948 in the Records of the Adjutant General's Office, 1905-1981 (Record Group 407) and located a history for October 1943-September 1944 & March 1945; a final combat report from March 14-August 16, 1945; rosters of officers for March 14, 1945; and general orders from 1943-1945 of the 119th Anti-aircraft Artillery Group. For access to these records, please contact the National Archives at College Park - Textual Reference (RDT2) via email at archives2reference@nara.gov.

We hope this information is helpful. Best of luck on your research!
