      I am interested in finding records of the naval service of my father, L.W. Roessing.

          The medical and Official Military Personnel Files (OMPFs) of enlisted men of the U.S. Navy who were separated from the service after 1885 and prior to January 30, 1994, and officers who were separated from the service after 1902 prior to January 30, 1994, are located are located at NARA’s National Personnel Records Center, (Military Personnel Records), 1 Archives Drive, St. Louis, MO 63138-1002. If there is an urgent need for the records, be sure to read the section on emergency requests and deadlines and follow those instructions.
