A search of the National Archives Catalog for "Hickam Field" for 1940-1949 comes up with a number of records, and there may be additional files. You can submit inquires to the National Archives at College Park - Textual Reference (RDT2) via email at archives2reference@nara.gov, National Archives at College Park - Still Pictures (RDSS) via email at stillpix@nara.gov, and National Archives at College Park - Motion Pictures (RDSM) via email at mopix@nara.gov. The Air Force Historical Research Agency might be able to assist you as well/Additional sources of information about military bases can include back issues of local newspapers as well as local and state historical societies, libraries, and museums.
