Coast Guard House at Gull Lake, WWII

      W. K. Kellogg donated his home at Gull Lake in MI to the military. We have information that it was used (first?) by the Coast Guard. A Christmas card from WK during the war shows the gates and the front of the house with a Coast Guardsman on guard in the front. It was later used as a Rehab Facility and connected to programs at Percy Jones Hospital. There is an Open House planned for August 2019 focusing on the house during the war. We would very much like to find information on the Coast Guard presence during that time and would appreciate any help you can give us.

Sincerely, Jody Owens (Secretary, Historical Society of Battle Creek)
