Thank you for posting your request onHistory Hub!
Records of the censuses of manufacturers for the time period you are researching are in the custody of the National Archives at Washington, DC (RDT1). The webpage Nonpopulation Census Records provides information about these records. Reference Information Paper No. 50: The Censuses of Manufacturers 1810-1890 published by the National Archives and made available online by the Census Bureau provides additional background information about these censuses. For access to these records, please contact RDT1 via email at archives1reference@nara.gov.
The United States Census Bureau also has an online library with reports on these censuses of manufacturers of the United States for the 19th century. These reports generally provide aggregate statistical data rather than information about individual businesses. The only census of manufacturers schedules we were able to find online were the 1820 schedules for Maryland. We hope this information is helpful. Best of luck with your research!
