Re: Seeking information on a supposed Veteran.
Eugene Stewart May 24, 2019 6:52 AM (in response to joan stachnik)1 person found this helpfulJoan All I have is his Death Certificate. Does not list Branch of Service, but our Cemetery list him as WWII US Navy. Born in Illinois on 11-15-1905 Divorced, white male, died 4-7-1962. Place of death was Burlington, Iowa and was in the State Sanatorium with Pulmonary Tuberculosis. He passed away at that hospital #17040 Oakdale, Iowa. Johnson County. Was in this hospital or sanatorium from 5-11-10961 through 041-07-1962. Buried April 10, 1962 at the Salem East Cemetery, Salem, Iowa 52649. His State File ## 114-623-084558, Harold Ellsworth Allen age 56.
I know he had 2 daughters, Donna & Delores and one brother Raymond Allen of LaSalle, Il and one sister Gladys Baxter of Gladstone, Il. Proceeded in death, one brother and one sister. Was a member of the Methodist Church of Gladstone, Il. That is every piece of information that I have. If I knew his time of service, where he served or any proof that he was in the service other than someone saying he was WWII and Navy, I wouldn't need the help finding him. All I want to know was he really in the service or proof of it. Thank you Darren Cole
