Confederate named Mr. Kersey killed in Civil War

    Newbie

I have a grandfather, Mr. Kersey, who was killed in the civil war. Can someone help me find his first name?  He was born in Georgia and married Drucilla Starling around 1860ish. They had one son, Thomas Jefferson Kersey, born October 11, 1862 in Georgia. He may have lived briefly in St. Johns County or Nassau County Florida.

          Dear Ms. Barnes,

Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!

We searched the National Archives Catalog and located thirty series in the Records of the Office of the Quartermaster General (Record Group 92) pertaining to burials and headstone applications for Confederates who died during and after the Civil War. For access to and/or copies of these records, please contact the National Archives at Washington, DC (RDT1) via email at archives1reference@nara.gov.
