    Newcastle Delaware 1945

    Ann Mc Geown Newbie

Hi, can someone please point me in the right direction? I’m trying to find out further information on a passenger who was on a flight on 2 July 1945 landing at Newcastle, Delaware. I found the record on Ancestry but it does not make sense. On the original record it states that the infant was born around 1943 and was 2 years old when arriving in Delaware. When I click on the record it then brings me to a document titled The Green Project and lists the infant as as some sort of sergeant in the American Air Force?? I’m completely baffled?? Can anyone help me please? Thanks so much.

          Dear Ms. McGeown,

Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!

Flight landings and passenger manifests are in the custody of the National Archives at Washington, DC (RDT1). Please contact RDT1 via email at archives1reference@nara.gov. It sounds like a glitch in the ancestry.com database. The RDT1 staff may be able to assist you with that as well.

We hope this information is helpful. Best of luck with your search!
