Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
Unfortunately, National Archives staff are unable to complete research on your behalf, but we can guide you in your search. The Federal census for 1920, 1930, and 1940 may provide clues in Mr. Peters life as they will record basic details about where he was living, who was in the household, and how he was making a living. Federal Census records have been digitized by several National Archives partners. Locate the various online resources available: https://www.archives.gov/research/genealogy/census/online-resources.
If you have not already, you can obtain a copy of your mother’s birth certificate through the Wisconcin Department of Health Services: https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/vitalrecords/record.htm.
For additional information on starting a genealogy search: https://www.archives.gov/research/genealogy.
We hope this information is helpful. Best of luck with your research!
