US Military Hospitals in France in the Second World War

    Dylan Casteleyn Newbie

      Hello everyone,

I am looking for more information about American hospitals in the Second World War. More specifically in the region of the French department

      '' Marne ''.

I am looking for the following document:

Liste des hopitaux ayant opéré sur le theater Européen and 1944/1945

      or in English:

List of hospitals in service in Europe in 1944/1945

The following hospitals would be very interested because they were located in Soissons:

      4363, 200 Gen Hospital

      4356, 230 Gen Hospital

          Dear Mr. Casteleyn,

Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!

We searched the series Unit Annual Reports, 1940 - 1949 in the Records of the Office of the Surgeon General (Army) (Record Group 112) and located annual report of the 200th General Hospital for 1944 and a semi-annual report for January-July 1945. We also located a semi-annual report of the 230th General Hospital for January-July 1945. For access to and/or copies of these reports, please contact the National Archives at College Park - Textual Reference (RDT2) via email at archives2reference@nara.gov.

We were unable to locate records for the 4363rd or 4356th General Hospitals in France during WWII.

We hope this information is helpful. Best of luck with your research!
