          Dear Mr. Bladow,

Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!

We searched the Records of the Bureau of Naval Personnel (Record Group 24) and located, in the series Armed Guard Logs, 1943 - 1945, a log of the SS William B. Leeds for 25 January 1944 to 27 September 1945. We also searched the Records of the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (Record Group 38) and located voyage reports of the SS William B. Leeds for 21 January 1944 to 28 October 1945 in the series Armed Guard Files, 1934 - 1946. For access to and copies of these records, please contact the National Archives at College Park - Textual Reference (RDT2) via email at archives2reference@nara.gov.

We searched for deck logs in the Records of the U.S. Maritime Commission (Record Group 178) and located logs of the SS William B. Leeds for the following dates at these harbors: San Francisco for 7/28/44, 12/18/44, 5/16/45 & 9/28/45 -- located at the National Archives at San Francisco (sanbruno.archives@nara.gov); Savannah for 2/5/46 to 4/3/46 -- located at the National Archives at Atlanta (atlanta.archives@nara.gov); and Norfolk, VA for 1/1/1946 -- located at the National Archives at Philadelphia (philadelphia.archives@nara.gov). Please contact these facilities directly for access to these logs.

We hope this information is helpful. Best of luck with your research!
