    USS Ramsey 1973 to 1976

      Need evidence of this ship being close to the shoreline of VN, any time it was docked or in a harbor.  Thank you!

          Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!

          According to the Veterans Administration ship list, the USS Ramsey (DEG-2) was docked to the pier in Da Nang Harbor on 6 January 1973. Therefore, we searched the Records of the Bureau of Naval Personnel (Record Group 24) and located the deck log of the USS Ramsey for 6 January 1973. For access to and copies of this deck log, please contact the National Archives at College Park - Textual Reference (RDT2) via email at archives2reference@nara.gov. Also request a copy of the Muster Roll/Personnel Diary for 1973.
