Dear Ms. Daniely,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
We searched the series World War II Operations Reports, 1940 - 1948, part of the Records of the Adjutant General's Office, 1905 - 1981 (Record Group 407); the series Unit Annual Reports, 1940 - 1949; and the series Records of Historical Unit Medical Detachments (HUMEDS), 1940 - 1955 but were unable to locate records of the 8th Medical Training Battalion. The last two series are part of the Records of the Office of the Surgeon General (Army), 1775 - 1994 (Record Group 112).
The "official" photos of individuals, taken by the military, are not considered to be permanent federal records by the respective military services and are not retained by the service. If the photo you are seeking still exists, it will most likely be found in the individual's Official Military Personnel File. However, there is no guarantee the photo will be present.
For information about class or unit photographs, please refer to https://historyhub.history.gov/community/military-records/blog/2018/09/14/researching-photographs-of-world-war-ii-army-units.
We hope this information is helpful.
