          Dear Mr. Gauthier,

Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!

We searched the Records of the Bureau of Naval Personnel (Record Group 24) and located deck logs of the USS Northampton (CLC-1) for January 1956 to December 1960.  According to the logs, the USS Northampton crossed the Arctic Circle on 27 February 1957, 26 February 1960, and 27 February 1960. On 27 June 1957 and on 14 July 1957, King Neptunus Rex and company performed the usual ceremonies for specific crew members of the USS Northampton. For access to and copies of these records for specific times plus coordinates of the crossings, please contact the National Archives at College Park - Textual Reference (RDT2) via email at archives2reference@nara.gov.

We hope this information is helpful. Best of luck with your research!
