How does one copy and save photographs from Pearl Harbor attack for use in Power Point presentation?

    William Spicuzza Newbie

Father in-law was commander of the Naval Air Station on Ford Island at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Have been requested to make Power Point presentation in December about the attack. Would like to use several photographs from NA files in the presentation, but have been unable to copy, save to file and insert the photographs into the presentation.Thank you.

             Dear Mr. Spicuzza,

Thank you for using History Hub. Here is the procedure to download and save image files from the Catalog:

Underneath the image, you will see a blue box (arrow). This is the “download” button. Click on it.

You will then see a box on the bottom left of the screen. When it has finished downloading, click on it.

The image will open on the screen. Click “Open” to see the applications which you can choose,

such as Microsoft Paint or perhaps Photoshop, if you have that loaded on your computer.

Open one of these applications, and you can then save the image file.

Then you can upload the saved file to PowerPoint.

When you name the file, you can use the original NARA photo number (in this example, 80-G-182873).

We hope this is helpful. Best of luck with your project!
