3 people found this helpfulDear Mr. Englert,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
Information about your injury and evacuation should be included in your individual medical file. Also, your unit’s muster roll should include that you were injured and/or evacuated and where you were treated. Specific patient information would not be included in the permanent records of the field hospital or aid station.
If you haven’t already requested a copy of your individual medical file, medical records of officers and enlisted personnel of the U.S. Marine Corps who were separated from service after 1956 and prior to May 1994 are located at NARA's National Personnel Records Center, (Military Personnel Records), 1 Archives Drive, St. Louis, MO 63138-1002. Please complete a GSA SF 180 to request these records or via eVetRecs.
We hope this information is helpful.

John Church Aug 2, 2019 12:46 AM (in response to Rebecca Collier)Ms. Collier,
In reference to your comment, "Specific patient information would not be included in the permanent records of the field hospital or aid station," where would the records be if they are not in the permanent records of the field hospital? Mine are not in my personnel file at the National Archive.
Thank you,
John Church

Thank you for posting your follow-up request on History Hub!
The records pertaining to your medical care would be filed in your individual medical records. Individual medical reports of veterans who left the Marine Corps prior to May 1994 are in the custody of NARA's National Personnel Records Center in St. Louis. Please complete a NA Form 13042 and mail it to the National Personnel Records Center, (Military Personnel Records), 1 Archives Drive, St. Louis, MO 63138-1002. Their web site is https://www.archives.gov/veterans/military-service-records/get-service-records.html.
We hope this is helpful.
