3 people found this helpfulDear Mr. Kurt San Agustin,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
We searched the Records of the Bureau of Naval Personnel (Record Group 24) and located in a series titled Armed Guard Logs, 1943 - 1945 that contains the deck logs for the SS McClellan Creek for December 2, 1943 to June 28, 1944. For access to these records, please contact the National Archives at College Park - Textual Reference (RDT2) via email at archives2reference@nara.gov.
Since the SS McClellan Creek was a Merchant Marine vessel, we also searched the Records of the U.S. Maritime Commission (Record Group 178) and located Merchant Ship Deck Logs while it was in New York, Philadelphia and Norfolk, VA. For logs while in New York, please contact the National Archives at New York City (RE-NY) via email at newyork.archives@nara.gov. For logs while in Philadelphia and Norfolk, please contact the National Archives at Philadelphia (RE-PA) via email at philadelphia.archives@nara.gov.
We hope this information is helpful. Best of luck with your research!
