Thank you for posting your request on the History Hub!
We searched the Records of the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (Record Group 38) and located Armed Guard Files for the SS Francisco Morazan that contains a report dated February 7, 1945, which describes the voyage from San Francisco to Mindoro to Hollandia, including the action on December 28, 1944 with a typed version of the log. In Enclosure B of the report, there is a listing of the Armed Guard sailors assigned to the ship as well as the ship’s Communication Liaison personnel during the action. Robert Earl Tassinari was listed as one of these.
If you would like access or copies of the file, please contact the National Archives at College Park - Textual Reference (RDT2) via email at archives2reference@nara.gov.
