Mary S May 16, 2018 3:11 PM (in response to Amanda Pritchard)Thank you but I want to see the families that were in each town. The 1790 census online shows this.
Jan 30, 2018 · Contains the names of the heads of families enumerated in the first census and population counts based on a limited number of characteristic groupings.-

Thank you for your reply on History Hub.
The "1790 Census: Head of Families" is an official Decennial Census publication by the Census Bureau. Each Decennial Census has different publications. Based on what I see on the website and what I have read in the publication introductions, the 1790 Census is the only Decennial Census for which the publication was created. If you visit this website, https://www.census.gov/programs-surveys/decennial-census/decade/decennial-publications.1790.html, you can click on each Decennial Census and see what publications are available.
Hope this helps!

Candice Blazejak May 17, 2018 9:15 AM (in response to Mary S)1 person found this helpfulYou can search through the census for 1790 here using the residence place search.
The US census website is a great source to see the outlines of the census records in case you can't read the titles from the scans.
Hope this helps.
