      Hello NARA,

Looking at obtaining an after action report, or any report related to a mock atomic bomb attack rehearsal that was conducted by the 434th Military Government of the Organized Reserve Corps of Milwaukee. The project was called "Milwauk" Conducted on August 20th 1951, for two weeks.

      Thanks,

      Elliot Schneider

          Dear Mr. Schneider,

Thank you for posting your request to the History Hub!

We searched the Records of U.S. Army Operational, Tactical, and Support Organizations (World War II and Thereafter) (Record Group 338) and the Records of the Adjutant General's Office, 1917- (Record Group 407) but were unable to locate records of the 434th Military Government Company for 1951.

We also searched the Records of the Defense Civil Preparedness Agency (Record Group 397) and the Records of the office of Civil and Defense Mobilization (Record Group 304) but unable to locate information about Project Milwauk.

We suggest that you contact the Wisconsin Historical Society for information about the atomic bomb rehearsal in Milwaukee in August 1951.

We hope this information is helpful. Best of luck with your research!
