Hello Ms. McMahon,
Thank you for contacting the History Hub regarding marriage records in New York. Unfortunately, The National Archives does not hold vital records. You will find these records with the creator. In your research request, marriage records would be held in New York at the Dept of Vital Records. See below resources that may help you narrow down better information prior to contacting the Dept of Vital Records - such as dates, index number.
You may consider searching familysearch.org for marriage index, passenger arrival lists, or naturalization records. The website is free access and has many records digitized online. Or, the New York wiki resource page on Family Search. It is also possible to search English and Norwegian records on the wiki pages as well. Go to the wiki, search the country, then select online genealogy resources.
I hope this information is helpful. Best of luck with your research!
