    82nd Airborne Division Reconnaissance Platoon

Do you have any suggestions on where I can find out what the 82nd Airborne Division Reconnaissance Platoon did in Normandy during D-Day to D-Day + 35?  At the time, I think they were a provisional unit attached to Division Headquarters.  They are not included in the 82nd's AAR for the Normandy Invasion, and they don't appear to have started producing their own AARs until early 1945.  The morning reports don't help.   I think they were under the command of Whitfield Jack (G-2), and wonder if there are any intelligence orders or reports out there.  I'm bringing my family to Normandy this summer and it would be great to learn as much as we can about what my uncle did in the Recon Platoon.  Thank you for any help you can provide.
