    $10.00 fine

    Ryan Ball Newbie

Does anyone have any idea why my 2nd Great Grandfather would have been fined $10.00 per general Gibbon during the battle of Antietam?  He was severely wounded during the battle at Miller's Cornfield.  I am assuming maybe he dropped his musket or left it on the field?  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.
