3 people found this helpfulDear Mr. Morales,
Thank you for posting your request to the History Hub.
We searched the Marine Corps Command Chronologies and Related Documentation, April 1962 - June 1987 and located Chronologies for HMH-462 for 1970 - 1975. In the June 1972 one, the significant event listing included a statement that Cpl. Dale T. Lane died in the line of duty on June 11, 1972 in Taipei, Taiwan. Then we searched the Marine Corps Casualty Case Cards, ca. December 1941 - 1975 and located Corporeal Lane’s casualty case cards. The first one lists his emergency contacts and the second briefly describes how he died.
If you wish to have access and/or copies of these records, please contact the National Archives at College Park - Textual Reference (RDT2) via email at archives2reference@nara.gov.
We hope this information is helpful. Best of luck with your research!
