    Herman Werblowsky? Who was he?

Born in 09/25/ 1913. Lived in 292 Bedford Avenue, Brooklyn, NY.

Found is old passport in Paris, late 1980.

Lots of visas of post-war Europe during 146-1950. France, Italy; Switzerland; Belgium, Germany (american sector), Hungary, Czechoslovakia...

Anyone knows who was he? Any living relatives? Found his old passport in Paris, in late 1980. I would like to give it back to the family.

          Dear Ms. Salazar,

Thank you for contacting the History Hub!

We searched Ancestry and FamilySearch and we determined that Herman (sometimes spelled Hyman) Werblowsky was born on 25 Sep 1913 in Brooklyn, NY to Abraham Werblowsky and Mamie Baylis. According to Census records he lived in New York City until at least 1940 with his parents and siblings (Bernard, Morris, and Henry). His parents were born in the mid 1870s most likely in Poland. It also appears that he enlisted in the Army on 19 February 1942 for the duration of World War II. According to the Social Security Death Index, Herman died in January 1993 and his last known residence was in Italy.

We hope that this is helpful. Best of luck with your research!

            Hi Helena!

I am a bit late, but I am the daughter of Robert Werba (who's father is Henry Werba and who's uncle would have been Herman Werblowsky).

I'm interest to know if you still have this passport

            Thank you!
