2 people found this helpfulDear Mr. Schneider,
Thank you for posting your request to History Hub again!
We searched the decimal correspondence files of the Adjutant General’s Office in Record Group 407 for decimal 300.4 (includes orders such as courts-martial, field messages or orders, obituary, operations, sealed or secret orders, special including travel, and technical) from 1950 through 1956 but were unable to locate a cache of special orders. Special Orders that are personnel related would have been filed in the person’s Official Military Personnel Files rather than the AG decimal files and a copy would have been given to the soldier.
We hope that this information is helpful. Best of luck with your research!

How can I take a picture so you can view what I'm searching for. It looks like they may fall under issuance and publication. Can I send you a pic may you might be able to decider.
Thanks,
Elliot Schneider

Here is what I found can these files be accessed, and if so how are they arranged. Would you be able to produce a quote if I give you dates, or my father's name.

1 person found this helpfulDear Mr. Schneider,
The series you are interested in consists of policy and statistical information only. The first part is arranged by the War Department filing system and the second part is arranged chronologically. It does not contain individual promotion documentation of any kind.
We hope that this information is helpful. Best of luck with your family research!
