3 people found this helpfulDear Mr. Streifer,
We searched the General Records of the Department of the Navy, 1947- (Record Group 428) and located a series titled “National Security Group Court of Inquiry Open Session Transcripts and Investigation Records concerning the USS Pueblo” [UD-UP 30] (77 boxes). These records are still security classified and there is no up-to-date box or file unit listing available.
If you wish to request that they be declassified under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act, please follow the instructions on NARA’s FOIA page. Following completion of a review by NARA's Special Access/FOIA Staff (RD-F), they will advise you whether any or all of the files have been declassified.
We hope this information has been helpful.

mtom22 Feb 7, 2018 1:40 PM (in response to Rebecca Collier)Does UD-UP 30 have an SF258 or SF 135 Transmittal and Receipt Form PDF File which lists the specific record items ? Perhaps the UD-UP 30 Transmittal and Receipt Form is under the Pacific Command RG 529 Group?

2 people found this helpfulDear Mr. Tomko,
This series (UD-UP 30) was part of a larger accession that was broken up into 9 separate series. New box lists were not created for each new series plus some of the new series were reboxed and given new box numbers. That is why I indicated that no “up-to-date box or file unit listings” were available.

1 person found this helpfulNo, it came in as part of RG 428. There are no SF 135s since it came to NARA as a direct offer using a SF 258.
