Dear Mr. Shields,
Thank you for posting your question to the History Hub!
Military flight records are generally not considered permanent records and are therefore not in the custody of the National Archives. Each branch of the military has its own retention schedule for temporary records, and while some temporary records are maintained longer than others, it is unlikely that a flight record from an individual flight in 1974 still exists. If you know which branch of the military was responsible for the flight, you may be able to contact their records manager for further assistance.
Thank you, again, for sharing your question with the History Hub, and best of luck with your ongoing research.
