2 people found this helpfulDear Ms. Miller,
Thank you for sharing your question with the History Hub.
For information on Naval Construction Battalions, we suggest you write to the U.S. Navy Seabee Museum, Naval Base Ventura County, Building 100, Port Hueneme, CA 93043. Their telephone number is 805-982-5165, and their website is https://www.history.navy.mil/content/history/museums/seabee.html.
The Seabee Museum has many online resources. A unit history for the 302 Construction Battalion Maintenance Unit is available here on their website, for example, and several deployment completion reports and after action reports can be found here on the site. If you contact the museum directly, they may be able to offer you further guidance.
Thank you, again, for posting your question to the History Hub and best of luck with your search!

sfcbabcock Feb 7, 2019 5:07 PM (in response to mmiller7384)As a CVSO I suggest you type in CBMU-302 Vietnam in the address bar and you will get a list of websites that have references on them to the CBMU 302. One of them has 2 guys with CBMU-302 listed after there names, indicating they were in that unit. Jim Kendall was in 70-71 and has a link to his email address, jkendall@mtaonline.net He may be able connect you with some of the guys.
