Hello Mr. Moghabghab,
It appears that the Salisbury Beach, Massachusetts Coast Guard Station opened in 1897 or 1898. President Grover Cleveland’s second administration ended in early 1897 but the station could have been in the planning stages by then.
Perhaps the easiest thing to do is contact the U.S. Coast Guard Historian’s office. If they cannot help, there are other tacks. The first is to e-mail the National Archives’ Washington, D.C. reference team at firstname.lastname@example.org, which has custody of Coast Guard records. A second is to contact the Library of Congress, which holds the records of Presidents Cleveland and William McKinley.
We hope this information is helpful.
