2 people found this helpfulHi Anne,
Thanks for posting your question to the History Hub! A search of the National Archives catalog turned up several records related to the Albuquerque Indian school which may be useful for your research. Generally, these records haven’t been digitized and are held in National Archives field locations in Colorado, Kansas, and California. Reference contact information for the custodial field location is located in the bottom half of the catalog page.
The series Correspondence with Indian and Public Schools, 1893 - 1955 specifically mentions the “disposition of the bodies of students who died” as a subject in the Scope and Content Note. Other series and file units that may be of use are General Correspondence File of the Albuquerque Indian School, 1881 - 1936; 038 Albuquerque Indian School; Albuquerque Indian School; [1928-1929] 864 Albuquerque Indian School; and Correspondence with Agencies and Schools, 1909 - 1947.
The General Correspondence File of the Albuquerque Indian school contains a number of digitized photos of the school and students that may be of interest.
Good luck with your research!
