Can anyone help me in my search for the Clayton familial history

    DONNIE MARIE CLAYTON Newbie

I am searching my familial history and have several family members' names from my mother's side. However, I periodically run into brick walls with

regard to their birth/death dates, how they died and I would love to see photos/images of them.

Depending on where you’re located, most states didn’t start standardizing birth or death records until around 1911. You can get records after that date from your state Vital Records Department. Before that, check local historical societies and churches where the family members resided. For information about their death, search through old death notices and obituaries; many of these are indexed and searchable in online newspaper databases.

Photos and other images of our ancestors are always the most elusive. Check with other family members. Also, look through old county histories, such as those by Goodspeed Publishing.

          Good Luck!
