Inspired by the recent post on how teachers can use NARA WWI resources with the Remembering WWI app in the classroom (The specified item was not found.) by Kerri Young, it got me thinking about how my teachers used primary sources in their lectures. I remember in high school, my teacher brought his uncle's war trophies from France and had us read diaries donated by local veterans to learn about World War II.
What memories do you have with teachers using documents or artifacts alongside their lesson? For the educators, how do you connect the lesson with primary sources or artifacts and bring history into the classroom?
