1 person found this helpfulThe National Archives at San Francisco would be able to assist you with any questions about passenger lists or naturalization documentation for people who lived in Northern and Central California.
Most Passenger lists for California and New York have been scanned and are now available on Ancestry.com. This website requires a subscription but many public libraries provide access for free. We also offer free access from our National Archives regional offices if you are located near one.
We’ve also partnered with Family Search which has the Northern California Naturalization Index, 1852-1989 available online for free.
