    how do i find a enlistment photo from lackland airforce base 1952

      im looking for a enlistment photo of my dad i know military takes a picture when first enlist but not sure where to look i have his dd214 separation papers i cant seem to find a photo from relatives  please point in right direction

          Dear Mr. Gaston,

          Thank you for posting to History Hub. Unfortunately, the "official" photos of individuals taken by the military are not considered to be permanent federal records by the respective military services and are not retained by the National Archives.

          If you have not done so already, you may wish to request his military personnel file from the National Personnel Records Center (NPRC). Although the records are not likely to contain any photographs, they may provide additional information regarding his military service. For more information and to submit a request online, please visit the NPRC’s Military Personnel Records website.
