2 people found this helpfulMr. Vitz-- Please check with NARA's Still Picture Branch for any photos they may have. There weren't any described in the Catalog but they do have an extensive index to the Signal Corps photographs in their custody. The email address is stillpix@nara.gov. There may be photographs intermingled in textual records. Please contact the Textual Reference Archives II Branch at archives2reference@nara.gov for access to these records. --Becky Collier

Re: Looking for photos of execution by hanging of German war criminals taken by US Signal Corps on 10 Nov 1945 at Bruchsal, Germany.
James King Feb 2, 2017 10:13 AM (in response to Traugott Vitz)While looking at You Tube videos I found a lot of WW2 Army Signal Corp silent films. There were many that showed Nazis and collaborators being executed after trial. The only identification of the events were the photographers board with date, time reel number and location. Some had the executed name. There were some firing squads, but many were hangings. I assume that all were filmed after German surrender. Sorry I cannot give any further direction on how to find what you want. These films seemed to be batch collections with little or no indexing for time or place.
