    Transcription Recommendation

I have been going through a section on Teddy Roosevelt. The transcriber whose pages I am reviewing has had the habit of inventing words that are nowhere close to what is written. I just wanted to remind people that it is okay to put a word in if that is what you think the word is, but it is unhelpful to create words that seem to fit the context but are nowhere close.

If you have no clue what a word is use the [?].  I am concerned that filling in words that are blatantly incorrect may fool other reviewers into thinking the initial transcriber knows better than they do and may accept such pages.

There is no shame in leaving words you cannot get. We have all done that and that is why we have layers in the process.

      Thanks for listening.
