Hello I’m luke sowieralski did 1-A classification in the Korean War mean you were officially drafted?

Hello Luke,
An 1-A classification meant / means one is eligible to be drafted. They had no physical limitations and/or social difficulties for induction into the armed forces (US ARMY). Other military branches i.e., NAVY, Air Force was a voluntary enlistment , in leu of service in the ARMY.
