Seeking information about Daniel King who was killed in railroad accident

    Rachel Dobson Wayfarer

According to family oral history, my ancestor worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad and was killed in a railroad accident in 1895. He was my great great grandfather, Daniel Henry King, born about 1857, possibly in St. Louis, Missouri, to Henry King (possibly German-speaking) and wife Elizabeth McNeely King. AKA Dan Henry King moved to Tillar, Drew Co., Arkansas, and married Sarah Rawls Duncan in 1881.

I'd like to find out if the railroad has a record of his accident or if there are other records that would show more about the accident or death records. I am not sure if the accident happened in Arkansas or in Missouri, but he was buried near Tillar in Holly Grove Cemetery. Have not been able to figure out what newspapers were being published in the area at the time or if they still exist. Thank you.
