looking for Chief A. Pierce from the 1900-1920

Found a US Navy Chief hat. From the 1900's to 1920's. Inside it reads "7.A.Pierce". The hat is black with gold fouled anchor. His age should be between 26-36; he was an E-7. Any information regarding how to find his story will be appreciated.
