Dear Mr. Spohn,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
Duty rosters are temporary documents and are destroyed after their initial administrative use, therefore the National Archives does not have duty rosters.
However, we searched the National Archives Catalog and located the Muster Rolls and Personnel Diaries, 1/1941 - 12/1980 in the Records of the U.S. Marine Corps (Record Group 127) that may include the muster rolls for the 3rd Marine Regiment. Although some of these records have been digitized, the muster rolls for 1969 of the 3rd Marine Regiment and the 3rd Marine Division have not. For more information about the non-digitized records, please contact the National Archives at College Park - Textual Reference (RDT2) via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Due to the continued impact of COVID-19, you may experience a delay in receiving an initial acknowledgment as well as a substantive response to your reference request from RDT2. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and patience as we balance mission-critical work and the safety of our staff during the pandemic. Please check NARA’s web page about COVID-19 updates for the latest information.
We hope this is helpful. Best of luck with your research!
