Seeking records for Elmer Groves (or Graves) Kesler, Jr.

    Gene Kesler Newbie

Seeking records for Elmer Groves (or Graves) Kesler, Jr. He trained at Camp Roberts, CA, crossed on the Liberty boat Patrick Henry to Africa. Had 3 battle stars and was discharged T Ft. George Meade in Dec. 1946. His army records were lost in a fire in St . Louis in 1973. Would any records of his war service be available at all? He went over with the Thunderbirds (45th Division) but was wounded and did no go back to them.
