Seeking Court of Inquiry records of YF-415 explosion

    Patrick Power Wayfarer

On 11 May 1944, condemned ammunition aboard the YF-415 caught fire and exploded, sinking the ship just outside Boston Harbor. Seventeen men died, either from drowning or from the fire/explosions, and a Court of Inquiry was convened the following day. According to documents from the hearings, one of the exhibits was the Quartermaster's logs for the ship that came to the aid of the YF-415, the USS Zircon (PY-16). Is it likely that those logs have been maintained since they were basically evidence in an inquiry?
