Seeking explanation of WW2 Army Patch & Service Ribbon

Good morning, My father served in the Army Signal Corp, 801st, Platoon #1.  During his European Theater of Operation, he brought home the Ribbon Bar with three stars on it and the patch shown below.  From what we know, he operated as a signalman for the Army in the Apennines "gothic wall" campaign and the "Po Valley" Campaign.  We believe the Ribbon Bar indicates these, but could use some help deciphering. Also the "ike" patch we have not found any similar ones within our search. If you could help, we would very much appreciate.
