Dear Ms. Malcewicz,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
Arrest and court records for non-federal crimes are generally held by local, county, and/or state offices. We suggest you begin your search by submitting a public records request to the Dudley Town Hall or by contacting Webster Records Department, for example. The
Webster-Dudley Historical Society or other similar organizations may be able to offer additional guidance. Also, the Massachusetts Archives Division has information online about Researching Your Family's History at the Massachusetts Archives, and the state’s website provides information about How to find historic court records that may be useful.
Plus, we suggest that you explore historical newspapers like those available online via the Massachusetts Historical Society, the Boston Public Library, or the Library of Congress Chronicling America website to search for accounts of the dispute you are researching.
We hope this information is helpful. Best of luck with your family research!
Thank you! I appreciate your help!
