Seeking records of 25th Medical Battalion

    Glyniss McDaniel Newbie

Looking for the name of the transport ship that carried 25th Medical battalion to Japan in WWII. Does anyone know how to find the name of the Army transport ship?

Thank you for posting your request on History Hub.

To find information on the transport ship that carried the 25th Medical Battalion to Japan, you will need to review the command reports.  We searched National Archives Catalog and located the World War II Operations Reports, 1940-1948 in the Records of the Adjutant General's Office, 1917 - 1985 (Record Group 407) that includes records of the 325-MED - 25th Infantry Division, 25th Medical Battalion: History-25th Medical Battalion, 25th Infantry Division, 1949 during WWII. For more information about these non-digitized records, please contact the National Archives at College Park - Textual Reference (RDT2) via email at archives2reference@nara.gov.

As a result of this re-prioritization of activities, you may experience a delay in receiving an initial acknowledgement as well as a substantive response to your reference request from RDT2.
