2 people found this helpfulAbsolutely! We have professional development and workshops, both in our locations across the country and online.
For the upcoming Online Professional Development schedule go to Professional Development Webinars .
Our annual Primarily Teaching Institutes are going to be held in three NARA locations this year, the National Archives at Atlanta, the National Archives at Washington DC and the Harry S. Truman Library in Kansas City. For more information go to Primarily Teaching .
An additional 4 day Teacher's Institute will be held at the National Archives at College Park in August. Contact judy.luis-watson@nara.gov with "2016 Summer Institute" in the subject line for more information.
In addition, most National Archives field offices as well as the Presidential Libraries have ongoing educational schedules, including workshops on many topics and principles. You can find them at Professional Development or find the location of the facility nearest you at National Archives Nationwide Network click on a facility near you and check their local workshop schedule (usually under "education" in the left column on their web page). http://www.archives.gov/locations/

1 person found this helpfulThe next online Professional Development workshop will be entitled "Using DocsTeach to find NARA Primary Sources." This presentation is about using DocsTeach to access primary sources at www.docsteach.org itself AND as a way to jump-start student research into the National Archives Online Catalog.
This presentation will be offered twice, on Thursday, May 5, at 8 PM Eastern Time and Saturday, May 9, at 11 AM Eastern Time. A one-hour NARA Professional Development Certificate is available upon completion. Register at Webinar: Using DocsTeach to Find NARA Primary Sources
