    Seeking FBI Investigative File

    Lisette Abdiruhman Newbie

Good Afternoon, I would like to know how do I find FBI Investigative file No.100-12441? I am looking for Exhibit no. 33 from this document from May 28, 1942 as well as Exhibit 227 from April 7, 1933. I would also like to know if there is access to the full report from 1942 and or do I need a FOIA request for it or both?

We searched the National Archives Catalog and located the series Classification 100 (Domestic Security) Case Files, 1939 - 1984 in the Records of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (Record Group 65) that includes 14 file units with the designation “100-12441” depending on the field office/location. These records must be screened for personal privacy, law enforcement, and national security information under 5 U.S.C. 552 (b) prior to public release. For more information about these records, please contact the National Archives at College Park - Textual Reference (RDT2) at archives2reference@nara.gov.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and pursuant to guidance received from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), NARA has adjusted its normal operations to balance the need of completing its mission-critical work while also adhering to the recommended social distancing for the safety of NARA staff. As a result of this re-prioritization of activities, you may experience a delay in receiving an initial acknowledgement as well as a substantive response to your reference request from RDT2. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and patience.

We hope this is helpful. Best of luck with your research!
