Seeking information on Trinidad Colorado golf course

    Tom Potter Newbie

I work at the Trinidad, Colorado public library, and I'm in charge of the local history archive. A patron has visited multiple times trying to find information about the two golf courses that have existed in Trinidad. One came to be known as Pine View Golf Course, but we think it was abandoned when the WPA rebuilt the other golf course in town. Both may have, at some point, been known as Trinidad Country Club. The current municipal course is the design created around 1940 by the WPA: a nine-hole course that replaced a previous course on the same land. It was obviously designed and built by very competent course architects and construction workers. Any information about either course is most welcome, especially records from the WPA that may have details about the construction, architect's name, maps and plans, description of the previous course, and any other information that may be in the WPA records.
